Fletton

The parish of Fletton occupied 972 acres of land.

The population in:

  • 1801 was 134
  • 1901 was 4089
 
Stanground

Stanground Parish was originally created in 1905. When Stanground Parish was divided into two, Old Fletton, Stanground South and Woodston formed into Fletton urban district on 1st Oct 1905. Stanground South becoming part of old Fletton urban district. From then until 1974, it formed the only parish in Thorney rural district (apart from Thorney) being in the Isle of Ely until 1965 and then Huntingdon and Peterborough. In 1974 it became part of the Peterborough District of Cambridgeshire.

The civil parish of stanground, known as Stanground township occupied 969 acres of land until expansion.

The population in:

  • 1801 was 544
  • 1901 was 1492
 
Woodston

Woodston occupied 1054 acres of land.

The population in:

  • 1801 was 143
  • 1901 was 2817

The Parish of Woodston was divided into Woodston Rural Parish - 984 acres and Woodston Urban Parish - 70 acres until 1905.
